I remember hearing that during Pavement’s early days, they would cover this, and Stephen Malkmus would end the song saying, “he hates us, he hates us”, in reference to Mark E. Smith. I always thought that was hilarious.

This is probably my second favourite song by Beat Happening. I’m not sure why I like it so much. But then again, I’m not sure why I even like Beat Happening so much.
