Some albums I’ve been enjoying lately.

Strawberry Wine by My Bloody Valentine from the album: Strawberry Wine [EP]

Swallow by My Bloody Valentine from the album: Tremolo EP

Something I did in math class.

I Don't Need You by My Bloody Valentine from the album: Ecstasy [EP]

I Don’t Need You | My Bloody Valentine

"The way that you talk, the way that you smile
Could make me happy for a while
Things that you see, the things that I do
The way that you walk, the things that you say
Makes it hard to go away
Don’t be so sad ’cause I thought that you knew
(that) I don’t need you"

Today is just going to be My Bloody Valentine and The Jesus & Mary Chain until I fall asleep.

Thorn by My Bloody Valentine

Thorn | My Bloody Valentine

“Walk all over me
Even though you can’t decide
Look out, (jump back)
You’ll be on your own

Hillside, slip and slide
Feel the pain, it’s no surprise
Look out, look out
Thorn will be your love

I felt your hair across my skin
I didn’t know where to begin
A shallow promise in my ear
No thoughts, no dreams, no wishes, and no fear

The rose is dead, your face serene
No memories of things that once did seem
To be to me important too
You give me flowers when it’s thorns I give to you”

When You Sleep | The Antlers (My Bloody Valentine cover)

Usually I hate My Bloody Valentine covers, because My Bloody Valentine is My Bloody Valentine, and the other band is not, but The Antlers did a fantastic job with this.

When You Sleep by My Bloody Valentine from the album: Loveless

I really don’t blog about Loveless as much as I should. But I have a valid reason for that: Everything’s already been said. Every recording quirk has been commented on, every fact about the recording processed seems to have been released, every lyric has been (mis)interpreted, which is absolutely fine, since it’s obviously an amazing album.

I guess the only thing I feel I can say at this point is that I really, really like this album.
