I think it started with bands like Bikini Kill, Hole, Sleater-Kinney, etc. Then I just started picking up on really misogynistic things that my friends were saying/doing, and before then I kind of though modern feminism was women complaining about things that weren’t really there (whoops), but eventually I just kind of realized that sexism very much is present today, but it’s just so normalized that as a society we don’t really notice it. And that’s how I became interested in feminism.
